Proper nutrition is vital for a senior’s health and independence; however, meals are often enjoyed more when they are shared with other people. We grew up in a society with sit-down family dinners, where love ones would discuss the events of the day. Companionship is one of the main issues when it comes to eating properly. It’s also difficult for a person, to be fed by someone else, and as caregivers, Volver A Casa respects the other’s person dignity and will encourage independence in this important activity of daily life.
- Spoon or bottle feeding
- Assistance with using eating and drinking utensils and adaptive devices, not including tube feeding
- Providing standby assistance or encouragement
